EfM Collect for Hope

In one of our recent EfM seminars, we reflected on Hope, especially in times of despair. After a conversation which produced our own insights, and implications of what we will be doing differently as a result, we concluded with the following collect:

Dear God, who is always with us, even in ‘that’ place,

Thank you for the opportunity to find love in community, comforting us in our sorrow, and sharing our suffering.

Help us to find you when we are in ‘that’ place, to forgive, and to be a loving community for others in that place,

So that we may be a community that wraps its loving arms around all people.

In Christ’s name,

Amen.
